CITRUS HEIGHTS, CA (MPG) - The Citrus Heights Chamber’s 66th annual Community Awards Dinner on March 21 promises to be a night of elegance as the “true heroes in our community – the ones who make a difference every day” - are honored.

According to the chamber’s Facebook page, “From leaders to unsung champions, we’re shining a spotlight on those who make our town extraordinary.”

“This brings all our community leaders, our volunteers, everyone who is passionate about Citrus Heights together so we can honor those who make our community special,” said chamber board chair Gabrielle Rasi, DDS.

Community heroes to be celebrated include Michael R. Korpiel, DHA, FACHE receiving the Lifetime Achievement Award, and County Supervisor Sue Frost receiving the Community Advocate Award.

Also celebrated will be the Police Officer of the Year, Fire Fighter of the Year, Nonprofit of the Year, Youth Volunteer of the Year, Volunteer of the Year and Ambassador of the Year.

Thirty-five members who have been with the chamber at least 25 years will be recognized. The Citrus Heights Chamber has been around since 1958.

The annual Community Awards Dinner will be from 6 to 9 p.m. March 21 at the North Ridge Country Club, 7600 Madison Ave. Options are beef filet or vegetarian pasta. Includes salad, coffee, iced tea, water and one glass of wine.

Tickets are $95 per person and are available at the chamber’s website at  www.chchamber.com or by calling the office at 916-722-4545. The deadline to buy tickets is March 14. A percentage of the proceeds will benefit Citrus Heights HART (Homeless Assistance Resource Team).
