Attempted Homicide Suspect Arrested

After Citrus Heights Police responded to a call, they found one man with multiple gunshot wounds and began the successful search for the shooting suspect, Kyle Sroka of Citrus Heights.
According to Citrus Heights Police Department Public Information Officer Leiutenant Jason Russo, on Tuesday March 21, 2017 around 9:57 the initial call came in. When officers arrived at the residence, in the 7000 block of Circlet Way for a disturbance. The 911 caller had stated a male subject had been shot. Officers arrived and located the male victim in his late 20’s suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to his body. Officers immediately began rendering first aid to the victim, who was transported to a local hospital where he is currently in stable condition and is expected to survive.
The suspect involved in the shooting was identified, arrested, and booked at the Sacramento County Jail for attempted murder. The suspect is 29 year old, Kyle Sroka of Citrus Heights. Although the investigation is still ongoing, there is no specific risk to the members of the community.
The victim and suspect are known to each other, and this appears to be an isolated incident. CHPD is asking anyone who may have witnessed the incident or may have additional information, to contact the Citrus Heights Police Department at 916 727 5500.
