New SSPCA Animal Shelter Location Opens

Citrus Heights, CA (MPG) - On July 1, the Sacramento SPCA (SSPCA) began  sheltering Citrus Heights animals.  Residents may take Citrus Heights stray dogs or redeem their pets at the Sacramento SPCA during business hours,  Wednesday - Sunday, 11 am - 6 pm at 6201 Florin-Perkins Road, Sacramento CA 95828.  

In  addition to sheltering animals for the City of Citrus Heights, the  Sacramento SPCA offers adoptable furry friends, vaccination and  microchip clinics, spay/neuter services, animal behavior and training  classes, free and discounted Senior (65+) services, pet food bank and  MORE!  Visit the Sacramento SPCAwebsite at www.sspca.org for more information! 

The Sacramento SPCA will not be licensing Citrus Heights animals.  Citrus Heights residents may purchase a cat or dog license online or by mail from www.PetData.com or come to Citrus Heights City Hall at 6360 Fountain Square Drive.  Current rabies certificates are required for all licensing and a proof of spay/neuter is required for the altered animal licensing rate.  Discounts are offered with purchase of a 3 year altered pet license and for Seniors 62+.  Lifetime licensing is available for altered cats that are microchipped.
