Bikeway Master Plan Update
Nov 10, 2015 12:00AM ● By AnonymousThe City adopted its first Bikeway Master Plan in 2009, followed by a technical update in 2011. The regular update of the City’s Bikeway Master Plan is necessary to reflect current conditions, policy direction, and to remain competitive for grant funds.
The City is in the process of updating the Bikeway Master Plan and the General Plan Bikeway Map to include Priority 1 Creek Corridor Trails (Sylvan Library to Wachtel Way only) from the Creek Corridor Trail Project as directed by the City Council, update the map to reflect Class II and Class III bikeways that have been installed since 2011, add bike lanes along various roadways, add bike lanes that have been striped previously but were not included in the last update, and add bike lanes that were installed part of Neighborhood Safety Improvements.
The DRAFT Bikeway Master Plan and environmental document is available here: http://www.citrusheights.net/857/4453/Bikeway-Master-Plan. The Bikeway Master Plan update will be reviewed by the Planning Commission on November 18th and the City Council on December 10th.
