Meal Service Launches at 44 School Sites

SACRAMENTO REGION, CA (MPG) - On Thursday, August 13, Nutrition Services began distributing curbside meals at 44 school sites throughout the district. Meal service will be Monday – Friday, from 7:00 – 8:30 a.m., not including holidays and non-instructional days. Meals for same-day consumption will include breakfast and lunch for SJUSD enrolled students. Meals cannot be consumed on site and social distancing protocols must be followed at all times.

Each student, parent or guardian must provide Nutrition Services staff with the student name and district issued ID number. Meals will be charged based on the status of each student; free, reduced-price, or full pay. Meal applications must be completed for the current school year. Applications can be completed online (preferred method) at https://mealapps.sanjuan.edu. Paper applications can be obtained at any meal pickup site and returned to any meal pickup site. Reduced-price and full pay students paying by cash or check: payment must be in a sealed envelope, with the student(s) name and ID number written on top of the envelope. The full amount will be applied to the student account – change will not be given.
