Tune in to Virtual Open House and State of the City Broadcast
CITRUS HEIGHTS, CA (MPG) - The City of Citrus Heights has two new ways for residents to engage and learn more about their local government: a 3D, virtual open house, and the State of the City Broadcast.
The Virtual Open House
Visit OpenHouse.CitrusHeights.net from any digital device or computer to view a 3D room highlighting 18 different City service lines. Visitors can click on service line posters to watch videos, view current project lists, ask questions, and more!
“Our team worked diligently to bring together City service experts to showcase all the projects we are working on and the services we are providing to the community,” said Meghan Huber, Economic Development and Communications Manager for the City of Citrus Heights. “We are proud to have all our service lines operational during this pandemic, while adapting and working with a very lean budget. Our Communications team is looking for new ways to continue to connect with our community. Residents can visit our Virtual Open House from the comfort of their homes, on any digital device, to engage with us.”
The City’s Virtual Open House will be live for three weeks, through November 4.
The State of the City Broadcast
If you missed the live State of the City Broadcast, you can watch a recording and still weigh-in on the polls by visiting CitrusHeights.net/SOTC. Recordings are also airing on Metro Cable Channel 14 on: Oct. 24 at 2 p.m.; Oct. 25 at Noon; Oct. 29 at Noon; and Nov. 1 at 2 p.m.
The broadcast drew in hundreds of registrants from the Citrus Heights community. Mayor Jeff Slowey spoke on the many challenges and accomplishments of 2020, with a month-by-month recap. The Mayor also shared information about the important groundwork being laid to secure the City’s future, by way of government transparency and fiscal prudence.
To round out the virtual program, there were videos spotlighting community members, updates from City Manager Chris Boyd and Chief of Police Ron Lawrence, and interactive polls for attendees to participate in.
