Celebrating the Holidays Safely in Citrus Heights"‹
CITRUS HEIGHTS, CA (MPG) - In order to keep our community safe, and move up in the Governor's tiered system for re-opening, Sacramento County has put together recommendations for holiday gatherings. Among the list of recommendations, Sacramento County is encouraging everyone to view holiday light displays from cars if possible, adjust celebrations to include just those in your “regular social bubble,” and wear a mask when around those outside your household. Visit SacCounty.net/COVID-19/ to view the complete guidelines.
Here are three ways to celebrate the holidays safely in Citrus Heights:
The Miracle on Fountain Square Drive Event–
On Thursday, December 10 from 5 to 7 p.m. there will be a Drive-Through Starting at City Hall
The Citrus Heights Police Department, its Youth & Family Services Division, and Police Activities League, along with City Staff, have put together a safe, drive-through holiday event for our community! Come see the "Miracle on Fountain Square Drive" on December 10, from 5 - 7 p.m. Visitors will drive a route around City Hall and the CHPD's front parking lot to drop off letters to Santa, wave hello to him, get a goodie bag, see specially lit trees and decorated patrol cars, greet holiday characters, and more!
If you would like to bring new toys or canned foods to donate, the CHPD will have collection bins. This event will be held in compliance with State and County COVID-19 guidelines and will be drive-through only with no pedestrians admitted.
