CITRUS HEIGHTS, CA (MPG) - The votes have been tallied, and the results are in. Congratulations to this year’s 2022 ‘Best of Citrus Heights’ winners voted by the Citrus Heights Chamber of Commerce.

Some 357 contenders competed in 37 different honors, according to Chamber executive director Diane Ebbitt-Riehle who thanked sponsors, SMUD, the city of Citrus Heights, Dignity Health Mercy San Juan Medical Center and the San Juan Water District for their support.

Over 100 guests gathered at Future Honda at 6151 Auburn Boulevard in Citrus Heights for a gala awards presentation. The ‘Best of Citrus Heights’ program was suspended by the Chamber in 2021 due to the pandemic. Voting ended June 30th.

The 2022 ‘Best of Citrus Heights’ honors the best businesses which are located in the city, or who are current members of the Citrus Heights Chamber of Commerce.

Each year, the Citrus Heights Award Program identifies companies that we believe have achieved exceptional marketing success in their local community and business category.

“These are local companies that enhance the positive image of small businesses through service to their customers and our community,” said Ebbitt-Riehle.

According to the Chamber, recognized exceptional companies “help make the Citrus Heights area a great place to live, work and play.”

Various sources of information were gathered and analyzed to choose the winners in each category. Winners were determined based on the information gathered both internally by the Citrus Heights Award Program and data provided by third parties.

The Citrus Heights Award Program is an annual awards program honoring the achievements and accomplishments of local businesses throughout the Citrus Heights area.

Three first time winners included: Best Retail, Kelsee's Purse Thrift Shop; Best Beverage & Food, Just Tea It; and Best Automotive Parts & Repair, McElroy’s Repair and Restoration.
