CITRUS HEIGHTS, CA (MPG) - On October 4th, seven members of the Inner Wheel Club of Citrus Heights delivered to the Citrus Heights Police Department approximately 100 stuffed animals.

The officers carry some of these “furry critters” in the trunks of their patrol cars, giving them to children when they are in a traumatic situation. The child can hold and snuggle the animal, giving them comfort.

The Inner Wheel Club of Citrus Heights has been supporting the local police department with donations of stuffed animals and hand-made blankets for the past several years.

Inner Wheel is one of the largest women’s service organizations with a network of over 130,000 members in 104 different countries. Inner Wheel clubs throughout the world support their local communities focusing on women and children.

Inner Wheel USA has a Foundation that provides myoelectric limbs to children between infancy and 18 years of age who were born without an arm or hand or who have lost an arm or hand through accident or disease. Inner Wheel’s ideals are to promote true friendship, promote ideals of personal service and foster international understanding.
