CITRUS HEIGHTS, CA (MPG) - The City of Citrus Heights Beautification Crew program launched last week as part of a comprehensive toolbox to proactively combat blight in the city. In the first week of operation, the two-person full-time crew cleaned up 2.2 tons of trash, debris and abandoned shopping carts from city streets and public areas.

The new beautification crew is tasked with maintaining public areas, removing abandoned carts and debris, cleaning up homeless camps and illegal dumps, removing trash and litter, cleaning up graffiti, and consistent weed abatement. They operate Monday through Friday and maintain daily and weekly routines that balance proactive sweeps with quick responses to urgent needs. The Beautification Crew will be easy to see around town; they pilot a fully stocked 16-foot stake-bed truck with a lift gate and bright signage about the program.

City staff urges Citrus Heights residents and businesses to report issues for a timely response. Submit requests by calling our General Services Department at (916) 727-4770, emailing [email protected], utilizing the City’s SeeClickFix feature found on our website; or texting “Service Request” to 844.92.Hello.
