New Citrus Heights Pet Food Express Opens

CITRUS HEIGHTS, CA (MPG) - A new Pet Food Express store is open in Sunrise MarketPlace at 6177 Sunrise Boulevard in Citrus Heights.
A formal grand opening public celebration is planned by the company for Saturday, July 15 and Sunday, July 16, said store manager, Mia Bruzenak.
Special events include a free pet wash with bandana, free treat samples, drawings for gift cards and a Pet Food Express tote with every purchase while supplies last.
The store will also host pet adoptions from 11 am to 3 pm on both days.
Customers can also register for a canine basic obedience class sponsored by 4 Paws 2 Freedom which will be offered on Saturdays starting July 22nd through August 26th at either 11 am or 12:30 pm. The non-profit 4 Paws 2 Freedom, based in Rancho Cordova, also provides service dog training courses for veterans and first responders dealing with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
Pet Food Express offers its pet customers an assortment of fresh, raw healthy foods, wholesome treats, healthcare supplies and stimulating toys. Bright signage and a Citrus Heights-themed wall mural invite customers to browse well-stocked aisles with familiar brands.
In the back of the store, pet customers and their owners are invited to take advantage of a refreshing self-service washing station, perfect for beating the summer heat.
Located in front of the Walmart grocery store and just adjacent to the Lowe’s Home Improvement Center, the new Pet Food Express was once the location of a Men’s Wearhouse clothing store.
Pet Food Express, established in 1986, is headquartered in Oakland, Calif. Other locations are in Roseville, Sacramento and El Dorado Hills.
The new Pet Food Express joins two other pet specialty retailers in Citrus Heights: PetSmart at 6434 Sunrise Boulevard, and Ben’s Barketplace at 7935 Greenback Lane.
