UC Master Gardeners Present February Open Garden

SACRAMENTO COUNTY, CA (MPG) - If a thriving spring garden is what you want, then start now! The Fair Oaks Horticulture Center is a unique local site in the community and has grown significantly over the last several years with diverse plant selections. See what is possible in your space.
The water efficient landscape area is emerging from its winter dormancy.
-Aromatic culinary herbs were pruned in the fall and filling out nicely.
-Edible micro-greens, kale, and Swiss chard are cheery looking in the raised vegetable beds.
-See how blueberries and raspberries were pruned for a flourishing summer crop.
-Look for citrus trees suited for your space and taste after seeing our specimens.
-Grape vines have two methods of pruning. Ask a master gardener why.
