Best of Citrus Heights Voting Begins Aug. 6
Aug 02, 2024 03:31PM ● By Carol FeinemanCITRUS HEIGHTS, CA (MPG) - It takes just a click of the button to show your appreciation for your favorite Citrus Heights businesses, places and organizations in more than 40 categories.
That's by voting in the fast-approaching 19th annual Best of Citrus Heights presented by the Citrus Heights Chamber of Commerce and the Citrus Heights Messenger.
Categories range from Best Accounting and Tax Services to Best Community Association to Best Entertainment Venue to Best Restaurant to Best Veterinarian and Pet Services to Best Waste Collective Services.
All chamber members are automatically nominated in the various categories, including those that fall outside of the Citrus Heights city limits. This week, non-chamber members were nominated by community members if the businesses are within city limits.
Voting runs from Aug. 6 (next Tuesday) to Sept. 5 online only through a third party at bestofcitrusheights.org. There is no ballot stuffing allowed; one vote per category per person is enforced. Since IP addresses will be tracked, those in the same household cannot use the same computer, tablet, phone or shared network.
Winners will be announced at the annual Best of Citrus Heights awards dinner on Sept. 19 and then online on Sept. 20. The winners will be showcased in the Citrus Heights Messenger newspaper the following week.
“We are looking forward to celebrating our business community at our Best of Citrus Heights Sept. 19 event,” said Citrus Heights Chamber of Commerce executive director Sheri Merrick. “We hope the community will come out and support local. As the Citrus Heights chamber, we love to support all businesses so please be sure to love local.”
The 19th annual Best of Citrus Heights awards dinner will be from 5:30 to 7:30 Sept. 19 at Citrus Heights Community Center, 6300 Fountain Square Drive, Citrus Heights. With a western theme, the event includes a barbecue dinner and an opportunity to win several door prizes. Tickets are $50 for chamber members and $60 for non-members, available starting on Aug. 5 online at bestofcitrusheights.org and at the chamber’s website at chchamber.com.
