CITRUS HEIGHTS, CA (MPG) - The spooky season is upon us and you’re invited to the Howl-o-Ween Parade and Harvest Festival.

Mark your calendar for Saturday, Oct. 19 and join in on the fun. The Citrus Heights Community Marching Band will lead the parade and the marching band promises it will be a frightfully good time.

The parade kicks off at 9 a.m. Oct. 19. Grab your lawn chair and enjoy the show.

Due to the construction on Auburn Boulevard, the parade has been rerouted. The new parade route starts at Grand Oaks Elementary School, marches down Grand Oaks Boulevard, turns onto Oak Forest Street and winds into Rusch Park. During the parade, the westbound lane will be opened in case residents need to leave.

But wait; there’s more!

Stick around after the parade for the Harvest Festival at the basketball court area in Rusch Park. Here’s what’s in store for you:

There will be live music to keep your feet tapping, raffle prizes you’ll want to win, a pet costume contest for your furry (or scaly!) friends, a classic car show with some truly timeless rides, craft and vendor booths to explore and loads of fun for the entire family.

If you want to join the parade, enter your pet in the costume contest or learn more, visit https://chcmb.org/howl-o-ween/.

Don’t forget to follow the Citrus Heights Community Marching Band on Facebook for event updates and more fun.

The Citrus Heights Community Marching Band members say they can’t wait to see you there in costumes, cars and all.
