Hornet Tennis Signs Germany’s Lisann Brinkman

SACRAMENTO,
CA (MPG) - Sacramento State head women's tennis coach Sophie Breault announced
that Lisann Brinkmann, a native of Bielefeld, Germany, has signed a National
Letter of Intent to continue her academic and athletic career with the Hornets.
"We're thrilled to welcome Lisann to our team," Breault said.
"Her talent, work ethic, and competitive spirit align perfectly with our
program's goals, and we're excited to see the impact she'll have on our success
both on and off the court.
"Lisann's powerful yet consistent game will add valuable depth to our
roster, making her an important asset in our pursuit of more Big Sky Conference
championships."
Brinkmann is one of the top juniors in Germany, reaching the finals at the
Westphalian State Championships in the women's division before falling to the
No. 16-ranked player in the ITF Junior rankings in a three-set marathon. She
won the German Team Championships with the WTV state team and has claimed
multiple Westphalian State Championships in her youth.
Finishing third on three different occasions in the German Youth Championships,
Brinkmann has been ranked as high as No. 109 in the women's division (currently
ranked No. 139) and is ranked 21st in the Under-18 division.
