City Council Swears in New Members

CITRUS HEIGHTS, CA (MPG) - Newly-elected Citrus Heights City Councilmembers Kelsey Nelson – District 1 and Tim Schaefer – District 3 were sworn in to office during the Dec. 11 City Council meeting.
The new Citrus Heights City Council also selected Dr. Jayna Karpinski-Costa as mayor and MariJane Lopez-Taff as vice-mayor for the next year. Each year, the City Council selects one of its members to serve a one-year term as mayor and vice mayor.
Karpinski-Costa was elected to the City Council to represent District 4 in November 2022. Lopez-Taff was elected to the City Council to represent District 2 in November 2022.
