American Legion Post 383 is hosting a dinner and dance featuring music by the Stone River Revival Band and catered by Texas Roadhouse (sirloin steak or barbecue chicken with sides) on May 3. FAIR OAKS, CA (MPG) - American Legion Post 383 is hosting a dinner and dance open to the public on May 3.
The event features music by the Stone River Revival Band and is catered by Texas Roadhouse (sirloin steak or barbecue chicken with sides).
The location is the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Hall at 8990 Kruitof Way in Fair Oaks (off Hazel Avenue). The no-host saloon portion of the event starts at 5 p.m., dinner is at 6 p.m. and music starts at 7 p.m. May 3.
There will be drawings for prizes throughout the evening. Donations are $40 per person and there is a limited number of tickets. Donations are to support area veterans and community programs.
It’s time to get your country on (no spurs on boots) and have a finger-licking good time, according to American Legion and American Legion Auxiliary members. The American Legion was chartered and incorporated by Congress in 1919 as a patriotic, nonprofit, veterans' organization devoted to mutual helpfulness. Veterans and Active-Duty service members in the U.S. Armed Forces are eligible to join the American Legion. Post 383 General Membership meetings are at 7 p.m. the, fourth Tuesday of each month, except December. Riders Chapter 383 members attend each Post 383 general membership meeting, and then have their own meeting afterward.
