CITRUS HEIGHTS, CA (MPG) – The Citrus Heights Police Activities League is hosting a new spring and summer series, PAL in the Park, that kicked off on April 18. The first PAL in the Park event was at Van Maren Park and complimentary pizza and games for the youth and their families was provided.

Police officers and staff joined the Citrus Heights Police Activities League at the park, where they also enjoyed playing with the basketballs and footballs that the league brought out to share. About 15 youth showed up to participate and interact with officers.

“The weather was absolutely perfect and the park was enjoyed by all,” said Citrus Heights Police Activities League coordinator Rachel Turcott. “The goal for the Police Department with this new park series is to highlight some of the parks in Citrus Heights and continue to bring youth and officers together through fun and laughter.”
