CITRUS HEIGHTS, CA (MPG) – Recently, Bay Area-based Mancini’s Sleepworld’s CEO Brett Snyder proudly took scissors to cut a celebratory ribbon celebrating the official grand opening of the company’s newest store in the Sacramento region in the Citrus Town Center in Citrus Heights.
The new Mancini’s Sleepworld store is located adjacent to Five Below, Marshall’s and Half Price Books at 7975-B Greenback Lane in the building that formerly held a Sketchers shoe store.
Skechers relocated across the street to the corner of Sunrise and Greenback, the site of a former Walgreen’s drugstore, at the end of 2024.
Representatives of area elected officials, including Sacramento County Supervisor Rosario Rodriguez, Assemblyman Josh Hoover, State Senator Roger Niello and U.S. Congressman Ami Bera, presented certificates of recognition to Snyder to commemorate the occasion and wish the new business well on Sept. 10.
Meghan Huber, the economic development and community engagement director for the City of Citrus Heights, recognized Mancini’s Sleepworld for choosing the city of Citrus Heights as its new store location as part of its regional expansion plans.

“We’re delighted now to be a part of the city of Citrus Heights,” Snyder said after the ribbon cutting ceremony. “It’s a great location for us.”
The Citrus Town Center, located at the busy intersection of Greenback Lane and Sunrise Boulevard, is part of the Sunrise Marketplace, a 10-block regional shopping destination, directly across from Sunrise Mall.
The new Citrus Heights location had a soft public opening earlier in the week, prior to the ribbon cutting ceremony held by the Citrus Heights Chamber of Commerce.
Citrus Heights store manager Bryan Becker said the grand opening of his store coincided with the grand opening of another Mancini’s Sleepworld store on the same day in Rocklin.
Earlier this spring, a broker representative for the Sacramento office of Jones Lang LaSalle Brokerage Inc. (JLL) which manages the Citrus Town Center in Citrus Heights had announced a lease signing by Mancini’s Sleepworld for the former Sketchers in its marketing materials for the shopping plaza. Interior renovation of the store continued through the summer.
In May, Sacramento Business Journal reported the Bay Area-based mattress company secured leases for four new area locations in the Sacramento region, including a location which is now open in Roseville and another location that will open soon in Folsom.
Mancini's Sleepworld has 32 retail locations throughout the United States. The company was founded in 1969 by Carl and Patsy Mancini and has corporate headquarters in Livermore.
Its flagship store, still open today in Sunnyvale, was originally a full-line furniture store named Mancini’s Furniture. Committed to personalized comfort, Mancini’s Sleepworld offers a wide selection of top-brand mattresses, adjustable bases, furniture and sleep accessories, according to the company website.
