CITRUS HEIGHTS, CA (MPG) - Bubble Bash returned to the Marketplace at Birdcage in the art block, directly behind Jamba Juice on Saturday, Sept. 13, drawing hundreds eager to enjoy a sunny morning full of frothy, foamy fun.
Two colorful cannons manned by the vendor Bubble Maniacs shot continuous bursts of soap bubbles high into the sky above a joyous, laughing crowd, both young and old alike who gathered in the bubbly-white foam zone which steadily whipped up around their ankles to their knees.
The morning weather was perfect. Children waded into rapidly billowing drifts of fresh bubbles half their height, giggling as they happily scooped some of them up and playfully tossing handfuls around. Others were just content to gleefully stomp about.
Overall attendance at Bubble Bash looked to be double what it was last year. Parking was still plentiful as many said they took advantage of early event pre-registration and came early.
Guests were also encouraged to bring food donations to help support the Sunrise Christian Food Ministry.
The free, family-friendly event also included interactive games, crafts, face painting and balloon twisters. Many danced in the foam zone with their children to the beat provided by a deejay, took turns posing selfies and later checked out a food truck parked nearby which provided some tasty eats.
Children had plenty to see and explore at each of the individual bubble stations set up around the foam zone, taking turns to test out the latest in bubble toys or waiting in line to wrap themselves from head to toe in a giant bubble.
