Club Studio Fitness Celebrates First Anniversary

CITRUS HEIGHTS, CA (MPG) - The main lobby of Club Studio Fitness, a cutting-edge fitness training club in the Sunrise Village Shopping Center was bustling Saturday morning, Sept. 27 during its first anniversary.

Members in workout gear walked past a lit-up neon sign and colorful balloons on their way to check in at the front desk for their morning workout.

Some members stopped to check out a variety of informational booths set up for the special occasion.

“It’s been an amazing year,” said Brandon Garcia, the studio’s general manager. “Our membership is over 3,000 and steadily growing.”

Last fall, Club Studio Fitness at 5419 Sunrise Blvd., adjacent to the Amazon Fresh grocery store, opened its doors to its first 1,000 members in its 36,000-square foot state-of-the-art health club.

The parking lot in front of the club is packed each morning as membership has roughly tripled in one year.

The club also received a 2025 “Best of Citrus Heights” honor from the Citrus Heights Chamber of Commerce, which hosted a celebratory ribbon cutting ceremony on Sept. 27 at the club to recognize its first anniversary.

Sheri Merrick, executive director of the Citrus Heights Chamber of Commerce, who is also a member of the sports club, introduced state and county representatives who presented certificates of recognition to Garcia and his staff. Merrick also presented a certificate of recognition on behalf of the City of Citrus Heights.

According to marketing materials, Club Studio Fitness aims to create a “a cutting-edge fitness experience that brings top-of-the-line amenities, best in boutique studio classes and wellness services together in one state-of-the-art gyms.”

Two membership tiers are listed on the center’s website.

“Membership is priced month to month in a set price,” Garcia said.

Its parent company, Fitness International, whose brands include LA Fitness, City Sports Club and Esporta Fitness, spent approximately $10 million on the Citrus Height’s club interior and on new equipment and furnishings, said the company’s director of public relations.

The Citrus Heights health club was the fifth Club Studio location to open by the company. Fitness International planned to open 10 such branded locations nationwide by the end of 2024 and 23 locations open nationwide by the end of 2025.

“Club Studio Citrus Heights features five such boutique fitness studios and spacious free weights, strength, functional training and cardio areas, along with recovery services (including cryotherapy, red-light therapy), personal stretch stations, upscale locker rooms and more,” Garcia said.

Services include multiple fitness classes, a weight room, a recovery lab that includes hydro massage beds, compression therapy, cryotherapy and red-light therapy and a med lab, which will include vitamin B12 shots, IV treatments, Botox and facials.

The studio includes full locker rooms with showers and infrared saunas, along with a café, which serves smoothies, snacks, pre- and post-workout energy drinks and more, Garcia said.

The club has a capacity of about 500. In general, the busiest workout times are from 7 to 10 a.m. and from 4 to 7 p.m.

A full schedule of yoga, hot Pilates, high intensity interval training, a trampoline class, low-impact fitness classes, and boxing and weightlifting classes are also offered.

“We offer our guests a wide range of classes each day,” Garcia said. “And we continue to receive feedback from our members and help create new exercise concepts and experiences for them, based on their suggestions.”

“Club Studio Fitness started with an initial staff of about 46, which has grown to nearly 60 since opening,” Garcia said. “We’ve built a wonderful and enthusiastic team of instructors and staff and we’re proud to be a part of the community of Citrus Heights and the surrounding area which we now serve.”

Club Studio Fitness is open from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays, 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. Fridays and 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays.
