CITRUS HEIGHTS, CA (MPG) – A creative space for creative people. That’s the marketing concept behind My Salon Suite, a franchise chain which lets health and beauty professionals offer their services in customized individual suites in a retail setting to set their own prices.

My Salon Suite, now under construction, will fill a 7,334-square-foot retail building next to Sierra Laundry at 7811 Madison Ave. in the Sunrise Village Shopping Center at the northwest corner of Madison Avenue and Sunrise Boulevard. The plaza is owned by Merlone Geier Partners of San Francisco.

The space was previously home to a brewery and restaurant which closed prior to a major renovation of the Sunrise Village Shopping Center two years ago.

Nearby, a new Grocery Outlet store adjacent to Visionworks is opening in the Sunrise Village shopping plaza this spring.

Interior construction of the new My Salon Suite has started, and an opening date is planned for either later this spring or early summer, according to a construction superintendent for RC Pacific Construction Inc. of Roseville, the general contractor which is overseeing the project.

The Citrus Heights location is listed as “coming soon” on the company’s website. A company spokesperson did not respond to a request for more information about the new Citrus Heights franchise location.

Once completed, the refreshed interior space will feature 39 upscale salon and spa suites, which are especially designed for beauty, health and wellness professionals.

My Salon Suite, headquartered in Dana Point, California, has additional sites open in Natomas, Rocklin and Folsom.

“Under a salon suites setup, the franchise owner serves as a landlord who recruited local health and beauty professionals and rents out spaces to them,” according to the My Suites company website.

Marketing materials describe My Salon Suite as “not just another place to rent a chair, it’s a space for stylists to call their own.”

“Our fully-equipped suites fit all your needs and allow for countless personal touches, from paint to décor, ensuring that your suite is exactly that – yours,” marketing materials state.

The company is also actively recruiting beauty professionals across a wide variety of specialties through social media with a goal to provide space to “be yourself, build your business and benefit from a creative community of like-minded entrepreneurs.”
