Juice Time, an international juice, ice cream shop and crepe shop celebrated its official public grand opening on Friday, Feb. 13, with a ribbon cutting ceremony hosted by the Citrus Heights Chamber of Commerce. 

CITRUS HEIGHTS, CA (MPG) – Juice Time, an international juice, ice cream shop and crepe shop celebrated its official public grand opening on Friday, Feb. 13, with a ribbon cutting ceremony hosted by the Citrus Heights Chamber of Commerce.

Bright red and white balloons flanked the doors of the store’s main entrance as arriving customers enjoyed a free complimentary drink before walking inside to consider their menu selection from an overhead menu screen surrounded in red and white neon light at the front counter.

A spiral-bound menu is available for customers to look through a generous choice of fresh fruit juices, five-layer smoothies, milkshakes, crepes, soft serve, pancakes and a dizzying selection of chocolate Dubai-style desserts with a variety of tasty toppings.

Juice Time, in the Sunrise Village Shopping Center is located between Starbucks and Firehouse Subs at 7887 Madison Ave., near the corner of Sunrise Boulevard and Madison Avenue.

Following the ribbon cutting, franchisee Iyad Ali Nour and his family received certificates of recognition from Citrus Heights Mayor Mari-Jane Lopez-Taff and attending representatives state, county and federal officials who offered their congratulations on the special occasion.

Ali Nour said he’s eager to introduce sweet flavors he’s enjoyed in the Middle East to his new Citrus Heights customers.

“We look forward to getting to know the community,” he said.

The theme of Juice Time is “Spreading Love Worldwide” and your taste buds might certainly feel that way after sampling some of the special items featured on its Citrus Heights menu.

Juice Time blends vibrant Middle Eastern flair with a modern, fun vibe. Its menu features natural and healthy sweet options, all made fresh to order, he said.

Juice flavors include orange, banana milk, lemon mint, melon, pineapple and beet with carrot. A children’s menu features a selection of juice drinks, soft serve and milkshakes, topped to order.

The featured Dubai chocolate themed menu includes a choice of crepe rolls or pillows drizzled in Dubai chocolate, brownies, pancakes and a build-your-own Zwara box of favorite treats for special celebrations and guests.

Dubai chocolate is typically rich, indulgent and sweet, with a filling that combines pistachio cream, tahini (a sesame paste) and crunchy pastry pieces, such as kadayif.

Kadayif is a type of shredded filo pastry, often used in Middle Eastern desserts such as knafeh or syrup-soaked pastries. It’s similar in flavor to the crisp, buttery layers in baklava, but instead of sheets, it comes in fine strands.

Juice Time, which goes by Aseer Time internationally, focuses on offering customers healthy fruit juice drinks, sweet treats and ice cream with natural fruit ingredients, according to its website.

The new Citrus Heights store is the company’s first venture into the Sacramento area.
