Overnight Road Closure on Sunrise Boulevard

CITRUS HEIGHTS, CA (MPG) - A portion of Sunrise Boulevard from Sayonara Drive to Arcadia Drive/Sun Hill Drive will be closed Monday, March 2, from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m. on March 3.
The closure will allow Sacramento Municipal Utility District (SMUD) to replace a 230kV bulk power transformer at the Orangevale Substation, located in Citrus Heights near Sunrise Boulevard and Sayonara Drive. Serving thousands of customers, this transformer replacement is essential to maintaining the reliability of SMUD’s electrical system.

Message boards have been placed along Sunrise Boulevard to alert the public of the planned closure. Please follow posted detour routes and allow extra travel time.
For your safety, slow down in the area, follow all posted signage and remain alert for crews and equipment working overnight.
