CITRUS HEIGHTS, CA (MPG) – A new family-owned shipping and mailbox rental store, Ship It 916 has opened in the Walgreens Shopping Plaza in Citrus Heights, just south of the Roseville city line.

New business owner Abby Hernandez celebrated the grand opening of Ship It 916 at 7777 Sunrise Blvd., Suite 3300 located near the corner of Sunrise Boulevard and Antelope Road.

A grand opening ribbon cutting ceremony hosted by the Citrus Heights Chamber of Commerce April 3 and attended by state and local officials who presented certificates of recognition to mark the occasion.

Hernandez welcomed invited guests and customers who attended the grand opening ceremony at the store which offers its customers a convenient, one-stop location for their packing and shipping needs.

“Ship It 916 fills an important need for business owners along this very busy portion of Sunrise Boulevard, and those just north in the city of Roseville who can’t get conveniently to the U.S. Post Office offices during their business hours near them,” Hernandez said.

The store also offers international shipping. Currently, Hernandez said the company has been authorized to ship to the Philippines, and she plans to expand shipping capabilities to other countries.

Hernandez, who has spent 22 years working in the dental field, said she was excited to explore a new professional path by opening Ship It 916 in Citrus Heights.

She said she still plans to maintain her dental RDAEF2 license while overseeing day-to-day business operations with her husband, Merge.

The couple moved from the Bay Area and settled in Roseville 13 years ago before purchasing a home in Citrus Heights in 2019. She said having friends and family in the area made opening a business locally in Citrus Heights a very natural choice.

Hernandez said she looks forward to building relationships with her customers and supporting the Citrus Heights community and the surrounding area, “one shipment, one mailbox and one service at a time.”

Ship It 916 offers multiple shipping services in one central location, including shipping through the U.S. Postal Service, UPS and FedEx, Hernandez said.

At Ship It 916, customers can also rent private mailboxes that can be used as a home or business address. Future additional services will include copying and printing, with plans to add notary services in the future, Hernandez said.

Ship It 916 is located at 7777 Sunrise Blvd., Suite 3300, at the corner of Sunrise Boulevard and Antelope Road in the Walgreens Shopping Plaza in the same building as Mountain Mike’s Pizza.
