CITRUS HEIGHTS, CA (MPG) – Residents have until July 31 to cast their votes in the 20th Annual Best of Citrus Heights Awards, a community-driven program recognizing local businesses, organizations and services across more than 40 categories.

Presented by Dignity Health and organized by the Citrus Heights Chamber of Commerce in partnership with the Citrus Heights Messenger, the annual awards program highlights businesses and community organizations that make an impact throughout Citrus Heights.

Voting opened July 1 and is conducted exclusively online at https://www.bestofcitrusheights.org/. Community members can nominate and vote for their favorites in categories ranging from restaurants, financial services and automotive repair to childcare providers, fitness studios, places of worship, community organizations and more.

According to event organizers, eligible businesses must either be located in Citrus Heights or hold an active membership with the Citrus Heights Chamber of Commerce. Chamber members are automatically nominated, while nonmember businesses must receive at least three nominations in a category before becoming eligible for voting.

To help ensure fairness, organizers have implemented several security measures. Voting is limited to one nomination and one vote per category per person, and all ballots must include complete voter information. Officials also monitor IP addresses and use software designed to detect and remove duplicate or fraudulent votes.

The winners will be announced during the Best of Citrus Heights Awards celebration from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Aug. 20 at the Citrus Heights Event Center. The evening will feature a barbecue dinner, live entertainment, an awards ceremony and door prizes.

Early-bird tickets are available through July 31 for $55 for chamber members and $65 for nonmembers. Beginning Aug. 1, ticket prices increase to $65 for chamber members and $75 for nonmembers.

The awards program has become a longstanding tradition in Citrus Heights. The Citrus Heights Messenger is once again among the nominees in the publication category reflecting its ongoing role in covering local news and community events.
