CITRUS HEIGHTS, CA (MPG) - After more than 20 years of service to the Citrus Heights community, including a decade as general manager of Citrus Heights Water District (CHWD), Hilary Straus has announced his retirement effective Sept. 30.

Straus was appointed Citrus Heights Water District general manager in May 2016, following one year of service as assistant general manager.

“On behalf of the Board of Directors, we thank him for his service and wish him well in retirement,” shared CHWD Board President Caryl Sheehan.

The board anticipated appointing an acting general manager at the Sept. 22 Board meeting. There is no further update as of press time.
