CITRUS HEIGHTS, CA (MPG) – The center island portion of Aquarium & Reptile Depot’s parking lot in Citrus Heights was recently transformed by two newly painted ocean-themed murals which are making a “splash.”
The two murals come just after the store’s marquee street sign on Auburn Boulevard and look towards the store’s front entrance to help bring the diversity of ocean life right to your feet.
Aquarium & Reptile Depot, owned by brothers Jason and Jeff Liang, celebrated the completion of the murals, one of which was painted by Sacramento-based muralist MAMMXTH.

The new mural showcases vibrant tropical fish, majestic sea turtles, colorful coral reefs and stunning aquatic scenery.
MAMMXTH has previously completed multiple works in cooperation with the non-profit Citrus Heights Arts throughout the city. His latest work for Aquarium & Reptile Depot showcases vibrant tropical fish, majestic sea turtles, colorful coral reefs and stunning aquatic scenery.
A second mural, painted by Sacramento muralist, Erse, depicts sharks circling in a deep puddle of churning sea in a swirling multi-dimensional ocean waterfall ocean world.
The specialized pet store, a haven for enthusiasts, celebrated 13 years in business last February and offers a vibrant selection of tropical fish, reptiles and all the essential supplies needed to create a thriving habitat.

The large flippers of a swimming sea turtle create graceful movement between parked cars outside the store.
Aquarium & Reptile Depot was recently voted 1st Place for Best Retail Store in the Best of Citrus Heights 2026 by the Citrus Heights Chamber of Commerce, its third consecutive win.
