The Citrus Heights Planning Commission is currently reviewing a Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District proposal to demolish the obsolete 61-year-old, one-story, three-bay fire station at 6421 Greenback Lane and replace it with a modern, operationally effective, 19,500-square-foot, two-story, five-bay facility better designed to serve the needs of a modern city.

Once a much-loved destination along Citrus Height’s “restaurant row” on Sunrise Boulevard, the vacant 9,372-square-foot Marie Callender’s restaurant, built in 1978 and opened in the early 1980s, was recently demolished by its new owner, Patterson Properties, to make way for a new, yet to be named quick-serve restaurant.
